Visiting the Hauteville Campus
The Château d’Hauteville is a private university campus, and as such, may only be visited by invitation.
Parents, family, and other associates of current Switzerland Program students are welcome to visit and tour the Château d’Hauteville. While planning your visit, we encourage you to reference this page as well as our local pages for information about places to see, eat, watch, and do in and around the Hauteville Campus.
Visitation POLICIES and PROTOCOLS
Visitors may be welcomed by a student to visit the Château d’Hauteville during the hours of 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday. There are no visitations to the Hauteville Campus or any of its buildings on the weekends, during holidays, or outside of these times.
All guests must immediately be introduced to the Director, Executive Assistant, Coordinator of Student Life, or Program Assistant upon arrival.
A guest(s) may only visit public areas. Guests are never permitted to go onto any floors above the ground floor without explicit prior approval from the Director.
Guests must stay with their student host at all times, and are not allowed to roam the campus or through the château unattended (for example, while the student is in class).
Guests are not allowed to stay in the facility overnight.
All visitors must depart the Château d’Hauteville and the Hauteville Campus by 5:00 PM.
visitation Periods
Please remember our students are balancing a full-time, strenuous academic schedule while traveling the world, and we encourage visitors to plan their visit during a time that will not place undue stress on students. We highly discourage visits during the following times:
Orientation (first week of each semester)
Midterm Exams (check with your student for their exact schedule)
Final Exams (last two weeks of each semester)
Packing day / Final Banquet
For questions regarding our visitation policy or planning the ideal time to visit someone in our program, please contact the Program Director, Ezra Plank.
